Installer Representative Panel (IRP) Election 2019

The purpose of the Installer Representative Panel (IRP) is to enable RGII to discuss matters relating to its role as the Gas Safety Supervisory Body with Registered Gas Installer representatives of the gas installation and service industry. The election to the IRP is regionally based and the panel has vacancies for six (6) Registered Gas Installers comprising three RGI representatives from Leinster, two from Munster and one from Connaught/Ulster. The term of appointment is for a period of 3 years. The Installer Review Panel meetings are chaired by the Commission for Regulation of Utilities.

RGI candidates for nomination in a region must be proposed and seconded by at least two (2) Registered Gas Installers from the region. Only Registered Gas Installers can be nominated. Nominated candidates are not permitted to propose or second themselves. Your region is defined by the location of your registered address on the RGII website (please ensure your registered address is up to date).  When nominations have been received a postal ballot will take place. RGII will be using our external auditors for this process and an external returning officer for any queries.
The voting will be by proportional representation with a single transferable vote (PR-STV). Proportional representation means that voters can indicate their first and subsequent choices for the candidates on the ballot paper.
