Registrations

As of 11 Feb 2010, there are 2,506 gas installers and 529 companies registered with RGII. These numbers can be broken down into:

- Sole Traders: 1,287 - Company Installers: 1,219
- Full Members: 2,340 - Trainees: 85 - Provisional Members:81

The Provisional membership category has been reduced to installers who could provide evidence that they have booked into a GID course for completion by the end of March 2010. The Provisional membership category will close on 31 Mar 2010.

Please note that companies and installers need to have a valid insurance during the period of registration. Failure to provide details of the renewed insurance may lead to an automatic suspension and removal of the company and/or installer name from the RGII web site.
New Declaration of Conformance Cert 1 "S"

This new certificate can be used for:
- New housing as before with Cert 1 "P" and Cert 1 "F"
- One off Existing housing: meter fit "Pre-Construction" i.e. before the gas installation is complete on "One off Existing Housing" only. Page 1 of the Cert has been modified to include a "Pre-Construction" and a "Post-Construction" part, with the relevant part to be duly completed by the RGI. Cert 1 "S" will replace Cert 1 "P" and Cert 1 "F" when existing stock run out.
